PFT’s NFL Week 11 2022 picks

USA TODAY sports

Ten weeks away, eight weeks to go.

Every game, every week we give you our tips.

This week, MDS and I disagree on three games. Last week we disagreed on two.

I took the Vikings and the Steelers. Yes, my Minnesota selection depended on it Case Keenum play quarterbacks. However, sometimes it is better to be lucky than unlucky.

I’m actually not that bad for the season. Although 8-6 wasn’t great for week 10, I’m 95-54-1. MDS is 83-66-1.

Scroll away for all week 11 selections.

Titans (+3) at Packers

take MDs: I’m not ready to throw dirt at the Packers, and after Sunday’s win over the Cowboys, I think they’re going to make a little run here and jump into the playoffs.

The choice of MDS: Packers 24, Titans 17.

Florio’s opinion: Run and stop the run will be the formula tonight. Advantage, Titans.

Florio’s choice: Titans 23, Packers 17.

Bears (+3) at Falcons

take MDs: Justin Fields may be the most exciting player in the NFL, but he’s still not a great passer, and the Falcons will win a game by few points.

The choice of MDS: hawks 14, bears 13.

Florio’s opinion: The NFL’s new Mike Vick goes to the town where Vick started and comes out with a much-needed win.

Florio’s choice: Bears 28, Hawks 24.

Browns (+8) on Bills

take MDs: On a snowy day in Buffalo, I think we’re going to see a close and low-scoring game, but one that the Bills should ultimately win.

The choice of MDS: Bills 16, Brown’s 13.

Florio’s opinion: The Bills need to reestablish themselves before it’s too late.

Florio’s choice: Bills 31, Brown’s 20.

Eagles (-7) at Colts

take MDs: Jeff Saturday surprised people in his first game as head coach of the Colts on Sunday, and then the Eagles surprised people by losing their first game of the season on Monday. But in this case there are no surprises.

The choice of MDS: Eagles 27, Colts 17.

Florio’s opinion: Jeff Saturday will quickly realize that these are not the Raiders. However, Indy has enough to cover the seven point spread.

Florio’s choice: Eagles 20, Colts 16.

Jets (+3) at Patriots

take MDs: All four AFC East teams are in the playoffs, making this a big game. Look for the Patriots defense that you can play well against Zach Wilson as New England wins.

The choice of MDS: Patriots 20, Jets 14.

Florio’s opinion: The Pats just keep getting better.

Florio’s choice: Patriots 23, Jets 17.

Rams (+4.5) at Saints

take MDs: The Rams were a huge disappointment as the defending Super Bowl champions, and without Cooper coup I just don’t think her offense will have much life in New Orleans.

The choice of MDS: Saint 17, Aries 14.

Florio’s opinion: Matthew Stafford may be back, but Cooper Kupp’s absence will make it even more difficult for a dysfunctional offense to function properly.

Florio’s choice: Saints 21, Aries 17.

Lions (+3) at Giants

take MDs: The Lions are on a two-game win streak and I’m tempted to stir things up here, but the Giants have shown a knack for coming through late in tight games and I think they’ll do it again.

The choice of MDS: giants 21, lions 20.

Florio’s opinion: Somehow the Giants keep rolling.

Florio’s choice: giants 24, lions 17.

Panthers (+13) at Ravens

take MDs: Lamar Jackson should have a great game against an overwhelmed Panthers defense and the Ravens should cross.

The choice of MDS: Ravens 35, Panthers 17.

Florio’s opinion: Big lead for Ravens. Garbage time scores for Panthers. Baltimore continues to prove their skills at the Super Bowl.

Florio’s choice: Ravens 35, Panthers 21.

Commanders (-3) at Texans

take MDs: The Commanders have won four of their last five, and they’ll make five of six with a win over a Texas team that just can’t compete.

The choice of MDS: Commanders 24, Texans 16.

Florio’s opinion: I thought about getting upset here until it occurred to me that Lovie Smith, then the Bears coach, fired Ron Rivera as the defensive coordinator of the team he was playing for. Ron won’t forget it and he won’t waste the chance to pin it on Lovie.

Florio’s choice: Commanders 21, Texans 14.

Raiders (+2.5) at Broncos

take MDs: The two most disappointing coaches in the first year of this year are going head-to-head in Denver and I think Nathaniel Hackett will pull off an important win while Josh McDaniels suffers another narrow loss.

The choice of MDS: Broncos 17, Hunters 10.

Florio’s opinion: As Nathaniel Hackett said, someone’s gotta win. Even if nobody deserves it.

Florio’s choice: Broncos 16, Hunters 13.

Cowboys (-1.5) at Vikings

take MDs: The Vikings have the better record, but the Cowboys are the better team. You’ll prove it in Minnesota.

The choice of MDS: Cowboys 24, Vikings 17.

Florio’s opinion: The Vikings have become the ultimate Find-A-Way team for 2022.

Florio’s choice: Vikings 30, Cowboys 27.

Bengals (-4) at Steelers

take MDs: The Steelers clinched an overtime win when these teams met in week one, but the Bengals will win easily this time.

The choice of MDS: Bengal 31, Steelers 20.

Florio’s opinion: It’s hard to overlook the Steelers, but the Bengals know what’s at stake. Also, those all-white uniforms are too awesome not to give them an advantage.

Florio’s choice: Bengal 20, Steelers 17.

Chiefs (-5.5) in chargers

take MDs: Patrick Mahomes is on the way to another MVP honor, and the Chargers just aren’t playing at the level a team of their talent should be playing. I like it when the Chiefs win this game and put more distance between them and the rest of the AFC West.

The choice of MDS: Chiefs 30, Chargers 20.

Florio’s opinion: Kansas City just keeps getting better. The Chargers keep turning their wheels in the mud.

Florio’s choice: Chiefs 35, Chargers 27.

49ers (-8) vs Cardinals

take MDs: This year’s game in Mexico City features a 49ers team that exceeded expectations and a Cardinals team that underperformed. I don’t like the Cardinals’ chances of scoring a lot against a good 49ers defense.

The choice of MDS: 49ers 20, Cardinals 10.

Florio’s opinion: The 49ers are finding their groove, on both sides of the ball.

Florio’s choice: 49ers 28, Cardinals 13.
