2022 VINFAST IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DOCUMENTARY SPECIAL TO AIR ON NBC NOVEMBER 27 AT 2-3:30 PM EST

Tampa, Fla. (Nov. 22, 2022) – The documentary special about the historic VinFast IRONMAN 2022® World Championship Triathlon will premiere Sunday, November 27 at 2:00-3:30 p.m. EST on NBC. The IRONMAN World Championships special will chronicle the culmination of triathlon, which returned to Kailua-Kona and the island of Hawaii for the first time in three years due to the pandemic.

The documentary special also highlights the iconic long-distance event’s shift to a two-day format for the first time in history, featuring focused female and male races and more opportunities to tell inspiring stories from professional and age-group athletes at the prestigious triathlon, which took place on October 6th and 8th, 2022. The documentary special will also be available worldwide on the IRONMAN YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/ironmantriathlon after its airing on NBC.

The documentary film about the VinFast IRONMAN World Championship 2022 was shot with nine handheld cameras and two underwater cameras. Five drones, two helicopters and the Qatar Airways FlyCam provided aerial surveillance. All of the almost 20 cameras captured the magic of the VinFast IRONMAN World Championship Triathlon and offered spectators a front row seat at the culmination of the triathlon. The VinFast IRONMAN World Championship 2022 documentary was shot and produced by the IRONMAN Group production team.
